Window Tint
Adding
window
tint to your cars windows is relatively easy with the right tools and
some patience, however for many amateurs without the tools and the
time, it can be somewhat of a challenge. Incorrectly installed window
tinting film may bubble or peel after a short time on your
car’s
windows, which can be extremely disappointing, not to mention
expensive. Using professionals will ensure that your window tint will
last
as well as provide you the UV protection and security that you are
striving for. Choosing a tint shop is similar to choosing a
mechanic to work on your car. There are several ways of finding out
what tint shops will do the best job for you.
To begin with, ask for recommendations from friends and acquaintances
who have had window tint applied in the past. Interview the tint shops
to
learn about the tools and the processes that they use for tinting and
ask for references as well. As with any job that requires a smooth
surface, the shop must be dirt free and your cars windows must be clean
and free of all lint and specs. Listening to the professionals describe
the processes they use for window tinting will provide you with
information regarding the quality and satisfaction that you can expect
from many of the tinting shops.
Tinting is installed on the inside of the windows and if you plan to do
this yourself, you will need tools such as heat guns, film squeegees,
spray bottles, bondo cards and a cutting surface. Since the window tint
is installed on the inside, you will need to remove the rear brake
light and place masking tape around all of the windows. For most
consumers, their car occupies a special place in their hearts and a
poor tinting job will not add to the image that you are trying to
create for your car. Use a professional who can help you select the
color, the design and the darkness level of the window tint, while
remaining within the laws of your state or province.
